Brushing My Teeth

This afternoon I was reading along with Elmo when I discovered that my book had a built in tooth brush. How sweet is that? Of course I immediately grabbed it and started brushing away.

Judging by my parents response, I think they assumed I was just shoving something random in my mouth. Not that I blame them, though. After all, that is what I do with pretty much everything else.

Squealing Contest

It’s been over a month since this video was taken so my voice may have changed a little bit by now.  Not that I’m a baritone yet or anything.  Either way, I sure amd looking pretty cute.

Jack @ the Mall

On our trip down to St. Louis we stopped off at the Chesterfield Mall, a bastion of retail bliss.  We didn’t actually buy much, mind you.  We pretty much just walked around looking at stuff.  Kinda mind numbing if you ask me.  If only my time had gone as quickly as this little video suggests.

Vacation Day 2

Today was day two of our little trip down to St. Louis.  Here are some highlights of my day.

I woke up and relaxed for a while in my PJs with my parents in their huge bed.  I was going to have a cup of coffee but then I realized coffee is gross…and I’m less than six months old.  I had some milk instead.

Next I headed out into the world of commerce.

Jack Month 6 179

There are so many amazing things at a wonderful place called…the mall.

Jack Month 6 196

Once we were done at the mall doing our usual looking but not buying (my parents call this window shopping…I call it stupid), we headed back to the pool to take a swim.

Jack Month 6 049

I had a blast!

Jack Month 6 069

Mom and Dad taught me all about pool safety, how to swim and how not to dive after shallow girls into the shallow end of the pool.

Jack Month 6 120

For a while there I was having an intense, Lion King moment…

Jack Month 6 137

…only to be interrupted by my goofy dad.

Jack Month 6 145

Eventually, I had to have a talk with the old man.

Jack Month 6 127

Then I said a little prayer for the poor guy.  It must be tough being that strange.

Jack Month 6 222

This one is for posterity.  My first ever shriveled up, post-swimming, raisin foot.

Jack Month 6 146

The rest of the day was spent lounging around at the hotel.

Jack Month 6 159

I did some light calisthenics.

Jack Month 6 164

Followed by some light hand munching before we headed to dinner with some friends.

Jack Month 6 174

We had a great time at dinner and I was ready to party afterward.

Jack Month 6 235

But my parents insisted we head to bed.

Jack Month 6 255

Now that I think about it, maybe I do need some sleep.  I’m feeling pretty loopy!

It’s been a crazy day!

Swimming!

Mom, Dad & I took a quick trip down to St. Louis for a few days.  We were just hanging out in the hotel room when suddenly, my parents had a crazy idea.

Jack Month 6 003

They started putting some funny underwear on me (not that I really minded).

Jack Month 6 024

Then they added some new shorts.  It’s all good though.  Cool new clothes are always fun.  However, these seemed a little different somehow.  I’ve been reading some books about different animals and I know elephants have trunks…but why would you put trunks on me?

Jack Month 6 032

We went into this big room with what looked like a giant bathtub.  Dad jumped in and took me with him!

Jack Month 6 037

I wasn’t sure what to think at first but I got the hang of this whole swimming thing pretty quickly.  Here is my butterfly.  While the pool wasn’t quite olympic size, I do think I could hold my own against Michael Phelps in the 100 fly in a few years.

Jack Month 6 051

Here I am working on my abs of steel.  Check out those leg lifts!

Jack Month 6 063

Once Mom jumped in, things really started to pick up.  She’s so much fun.  That girl makes me smile every time!

Jack Month 6 071

Here I am showing Dad some of the finer points of thumb sucking.  I could probably earn a gold medal in that event, too.

Jack Month 6 085

Mommy sometimes thinks I can walk on water.  While I’m occasionally inclined to believe her, it didn’t quite work out this time.

Jack Month 6 139

So I went back to swimming.

Jack Month 6 142

…and sucking my thumb.

Jack Month 6 125

All in all, it was a pretty good experience.  We got dried off…

Jack Month 6 102

Then Dad couldn’t help but take a few more pictures.

Jack Month 6 099

Back at the room I became acquainted with this blue spa towel.    He was grrrreat!

Jack Month 6 151

Later, I could have sworn I heard him say something about my mom so I had to rough him up a bit.

For more on my adventures in the great bath tub of life, check out this video below.  You can see even more on YouTube…video 2, video 3 and video 4.  I think video 3 may be my favorite.  Mommy was so much fun that I couldn’t stop laughing and smiling.

Jack the Jumper

In case you didn’t already know, I am a multialented little man. In addition to my dashing good looks and my exceptional verbal prowess, I am also a one man band/dance troop. My parents have been watching America’s Got Talent this summer and they’ve got some pretty talented kids on there. That being said, Im pretty sure none of them can hold a candle to me.

Note: Why would anyone ever hold a candle to someone else in the first place? That just sounds mean (and painful).

Jack’s Wild Ride

It’s been so nice outside lately that my parents and I decided to go for a walk last night. Unbeknownst to me they took some hidden camera footage of me riding along. Secret footage of our 20 minute walk crunched into 90 seconds is one thing but this music just makes me look goofey.

Look Ma, Two Hands

I’ve been meaning to catch up on everything that has happened over the last few weeks but seeing as mom and dad still haven’t found enough time to help I’ve decided that I’m just going to start posting things as they come from this point on. If I get to recap some of the last few months then I will but I’ve had enough with trying to catch up on everything.

Today Dad and I had a little mid morning brunch. While we were eating I decided Dad wasn’t doing it right so I grabbed the bottle to show him how it is done. My dad was so excited you’d have thought I invented the wheel. He pulled out his camera (as usual) and took a video to send Mom. Not sure what the big deal is but people have been calling to hear more from me and see more of me so here I am in all my glory…eating.

Busy Summer

I know i’ve been ridiculously out of touch lately. It’s been a crazy summer for my family and, as much as I hate to admit it, I do still rely on my parents to post. I’ve had some cool new firsts that I still hope to post about but for tonight I just wanted to jump on and let everyone know that the awesomeness that is my life is still going strong. It’s just been going so much lately that I haven’t had time for much else. In fact, even now i’m feeling a bit slee…Zzzzzzz

note: I fell asleep while eating sweet potatoes. Now dreaming of carrots.
